It adds just enough warmth for cool mornings without overheating once you get moving. What I love about this one specifically is the collar — it sits low and does not dig into your neck the way so many running vests do. Four pockets and reflective details for visibility round out a really thoughtfully designed piece of gear.

Adidas Women’s Athletic Cushioned Crew Socks (6 Pack) Good running socks are non-negotiable and these Adidas crew socks are my go-to. Here is a tip I swear by — pull them up over the bottom of your leggings. It keeps road debris and dirt from slipping into your socks and rubbing against your heels. It sounds like a small thing but if you have ever had to stop mid-run to shake a piece of gravel out of your sock you will understand immediately. The cushioning is excellent and the six pack means you always have a clean pair ready to go.

Your Shoes Spring running means fresh miles and there is no better time to assess whether your running shoes still have life in them. Most shoes last 300 to 500 miles — if you logged a lot of winter treadmill miles your shoes may be more worn than they look.
